body language
this project involves translations from 4D to 2D to 3D media. i studied my bodily movement through my living room for a day via video recording, then translated the tapes into plan-like drawings. i made color-coded diagrams based on activity and mental state within areas of my living room. the gestural qualities of these drawings became the inspiration for a sculptural installation created from dyed fabrics and yarn to correspond with the original categories of spatial movement. detail of line drawing.
