this project involves translations from 4D to 2D to 3D media. i studied my bodily movement through my living room for a day via video recording, then translated the tapes into plan-like drawings. i made color-coded diagrams based on activity and mental state within areas of my living room. the gestural qualities of these drawings became the inspiration for a sculptural installation created from dyed fabrics and yarn to correspond with the original categories of spatial movement. direct lineal translations from studies of video footage. each drawing represents one tape's record of movement, six tapes in all.
